What languages do you use to create websites? And what are their purposes?
In short we use: HTML, CSS, PHP, HTML 5, JavaScript, jQuery.
HTML is literally the spine of the internet, it allows for the construction of structures throughout your pages.
CSS works hand in hand with HTML to define the style and layout of the web page loaded in the browser. This is where the pretty things happen.
PHP is a server side scripting language (runs on the server and not on visitors’ computers) and can be used to dynamically construct html structures or set up the security of your site, amongst other operations.
Javascript and jQuery are used for diverse functions mainly related to interactive content such as image galleries, thumbnail fades, etc.
Only in very special occasions do we use Flash to create interactive content or animations.
If you are referring to spoken languages, we can develop sites which are multilingual.
